Open Position: Photographer & Videographer

Freelance Contract · Painesville, OH · About 5 hours/week · $18–$20/hour

Altered Church is looking for a creative, dependable photographer and videographer to help tell the story of our community. This is a paid, freelance contract role and a great opportunity for students and new creatives to build their portfolio.

What you’ll do

• Capture photos and short video clips at Sunday services a few times a month

• Film occasional interviews and short profile videos of staff and volunteers

• Cover special events and small groups

• Edit your photos and video and upload them to a shared Google Drive folder

What we’re looking for

• Reliability is a must. You show up for scheduled Sundays and events and deliver edited content on time.

• An eye for real moments: people, connection, and worship

• Basic photo and video editing skills

• Experience recording audio from an external device (like a microphone or lapel mic) is a plus

• Comfort working around people in a warm, welcoming setting

The details

• Independent contractor role, about 5 hours a week

• $18 an hour to start, increasing to $20 an hour after a successful 90-day trial

• Flexible editing schedule

• Use your own equipment, or we can provide software and equipment as needed

• Internship or practicum sign-off available for students
